Virtual Flesh is Still Flesh

Two things:

1. Dr. Gregory Garvey says that virtual worlds are a very separate experience from our other experiences. (Well, that’s an over-simplification, but not entirely unjust.) Full video here, real good stuff:

2. Studies show that having a non-smoking avatar encourages you not to smoke either.

Which is correct? Both, of course. After all, consciousness isn’t a state, its a dance. Of course that’s just my opinion I could be wrong.
